She provides child, family, individual, and group psychotherapy services to clients 4 years of age to adult. Sara's approach is strength based, genuine and non-judgmental. She is an Integrative Psychotherapist who will utilize a variety of therapy approaches to meet the client's individual needs.

Barwell is a board certified psychiatrist who has been working with the center since She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in and graduated magna cum laude with distinction in psychology.

She then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and graduated with a doctor of medicine degree in She trained at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, finishing her residency in She worked extensively in community psychiatry at WPIC where she provided in-home, community based and homeless care to people with severe and persistent mental illness.

She developed a homeless psychiatry elective for residents at WPIC and supervised the program for several years. This was through Operation Safety Net, an organization with whom she volunteered for many years.

Barwell treats teenagers and adults, providing medication and supportive therapy at both the Cranberry and Fox Chapel offices. She also continues to work in community psychiatry one day a week with Community Human Services in downtown Pittsburgh.

Personal interests include animal rescue, as she is involved with several small area organizations and fosters cats for the Animal Rescue League.

She has an adopted dog, Max, and three rescued cats. He is also nationally certified as a gambling counselor. Trained in Motivational Interviewing, Mike engages with people in a non-judgmental and non-confrontational way.

His background in Crisis and Critical Incidence Response utilizing Asist and Seeking Safety Modalities enables him to evaluate any safety concerns for his clients.

Utilizing his training in Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria, Mike assists those struggling with substance use to determine the most appropriate level of care including detoxification, maintenance therapies, and residential programming and will work with his clients until the appropriate level of care is achieved.

Prior to joining Cranberry Psychological Center inNancy provided individual, couples, family and group counseling with organizations including Staunton Clinic, Gateway Rehabilitation Center and Samaritan Counseling Center. Using an integrative, client-centered, solution-focused approach, Nancy has experience treating a variety of mental health issues, emotional struggles, and situational difficulties including depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, self-esteem, addiction and recovery, relationship issues, codependency, parenting challenges, communication skills, conflict resolution, work-related stress, phase of life transitions, self-care, and life balance.

Before transitioning into the counseling profession, Nancy spent over 20 years working in business and finance. Ed Cadwallader, LPC Ed Cadwallader, a licensed professional counselor, has been practicing for 30 years seeing clients 4 years and up.

Ed will work with any constellation of a family unit, helping to resolve family blending issues the uniting of step-familiessibling issues and generational issues. He also offers Christian Counseling and Spiritual Direction. As she transitioned to and became involved in outpatient therapy, she began working with adults as well, but maintains special interest working with children and adolescents.

She enjoys working with children as young as 3 up to age She enjoys working with varying issues among children but specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma, are in foster care, experience anxiety, depression, attachment issues, and have special needs.

Her previous experience as a Special Education teacher helps bring added knowledge in working with children. He has worked with individuals, families, couples, and children over the age of ten. Previously, he worked in a partial hospital as a program coordinator, a therapist in an Intensive Outpatient program, as well as an outpatient psychotherapist individual and group.
